Tabs Yoga

Founder of Yoga in Cheshire in 2006, Tabitha is now more geographically diverse either exploring the UK, Europe & further afield with her husband & two chihuahuas in their loved Fifth Wheel caravan or living at their new home near Andover, Hampshire. She has shared her passion for how yoga can transform us on many levels. Allows us to have greater strength & mobility in both body & mind. Letting yoga expand our worlds as we learn to manage health issues or conditions, sleep better, live better & interact better!

Coaching & Yoga therapy works on a more individually focused way to help us reach a more comfortable way of being.

From Tabitha

I love to teach & share what yoga can bring to our lives. From Foot focused sessions to dynamic vinyasa flow classes. I try & bring a sense of fun & personal empowerment into my teaching, offering creative sessions focused on mobility, strength, balance & focus on the breath to help make every posture a moving meditation.

There are so many different aspects of yoga teaching I enjoy for many reasons; I love to explore themes more deeply in a workshop & to lose myself in the special space of a retreat. I find joy in the flow & creativity of a vinyasa krama sequence & I enjoy teaching gentle & therapeutic classes & realizing how it's often the 'small stuff' that makes the biggest difference. Foot focused classes always remind me of how much yoga as therapy has allowed me to retain a full active lifestyle even with a dis ability like drop foot.

I try to create a space & opportunity for relaxation, self exploration, empowerment & confidence building practices. My unique approach integrates the lineage of Desikacher with yoga as therapy, exploring different ways to explore & reconnect to that happy place. My diverse skill set complements my practice. I utilize my over 1200 hrs training with the experience of teaching over 20 yrs & many thousands of hours, to lots of individuals who've allowed me to learn from their bodies, their practices & their feedback. I am always open to learning, exploring & expanding my practice both on & off my yoga mat.

Other issues that come up during our lifetimes may include back pain, hip & shoulder problems, digestive concerns & sleep issues or insomnia. Amongst other grumbles! All of this are helped by yoga as therapy. From learning to relax to learning to breathe through our noses , As well as more specific yoga therapy. Yoga sessions can teach us many life skills. Balance & vertigo issues can affect us at any age but are increasingly likely as we age, so are always an integral part of any class or physical practice. I feel the importance of feet, ankle & leg strength is often underestimated in modern lifestyles so I will often challenge us a little in these areas…all in the aim of longevity of health span & wellness! Yoga is so important in supporting body awareness & confidence amongst so many other benefits.

I am also both a Wellness & health coach & Yoga Therapist & love to work with many different issues. From insomnia to menopausal issues, from neurological conditions such as MS, PD and drop foot to weight management & longevity. I have myself experienced issues such as menopause, vertigo, dropfoot & serious life changes so am able to support & guide you in coping mechanisms, ways to both adapt & improve symptoms & keep life fun.

You may already know me as Tabitha from Yoga in Cheshire. Since leaving the amazing community we built in Cheshire I have been travelling, reflecting & meditating upon what I wish my next chapter to bring. I love so many of my memories of the people, the laughter, the community, the charity workshops, the studio, the hugs, the zoom yoga during Covid lockdown...so many wonderful things that I shared with so many people during my time at Yoga in Cheshire.I have many recordings of classes from the last 5 years & I would love those to be accessible to you to practice at your convenience. I am not going to edit these to perfection & apologize in advance for any out of date comments or chat. However due to the lack of intensive editing we can share these at a much cheaper cost especially if you sign up to a monthly special offer. See here to choose a video...

I have recently moved to Hampshire & live in a beautiful Round House where I am lucky enough to be able to teach yoga as we have a perfect area to do so ..... looking over the amazing local views & listening to the chattering of birdsong. It took a special property to persuade us to pause travelling after living happily in the Fifth Wheel caravan! Now we plan to combine the two lifestyles & somehow work some in person & Zoom online yoga into that future.

Frequently asked questions

The idea for Tabs Yoga originated when Tabitha was practicing to one of her own pre recorded yoga videos in Southern Spain. Like most yoga teachers she loves to be taught (even by herself)

It reminded her of how many videos she has available & would love to share with her yoga student community, both old & new. These are available to via the shop here

It also provides a platform from which to offer both in person & online classes, workshops & retreats See the what's on page for details of what is happening

These will be updated via the newsletter (sign up above NOW) .The Nudge Coach Facebook page & this website. You can see what is coming up on the what's on page here

The live zoom yoga classes will be hosted by Tabitha & we will try for once/ twice a week

The pre recorded yoga classes included both vinyasa flow classes & are floor based therapeutic yoga classes. Each class has a theme or focus which will be highlighted in the description.

For example a theme maybe something like contentment or gratitude. Or hips or shoulder release. There are classes focused around relief for a grumpy back & those more focused on ankle & foot strength or balance.

Basically the library of pre recorded classes includes a variety of themes, postures & pranayama (breath work).

The classes are pre recorded so please excuse any out of date comments or conversations. Please also note they were recorded during live Zoom classes so may occasionally include an individual adaptation or suggestion.

I decided not to edit the videos to the extreme but instead to offer more videos at a cheaper price.

"Tabitha was recommended to me. I’d had a fall resulting in being short of breath a couple of months later. The NHS confirmed there was noting seriously wrong with my heart or lungs , but I felt like I was falling though cracks as no treatment plan was put in place. Tabitha gave me a series of exercises and within a month I was fully recovered. Thanks Tabs "

"I've been attending Tabitha's classes for over 20 years, and she remains one of the most inspiring teachers I've ever met. Her sessions are the perfect blend of a proper workout, deep calm, and the kind of giggles that make everyone feel at ease. On her retreats I've always felt truly seen, heard and restored. Tabitha is a beautiful soul with a rare gift for making people around her feel good and her dedication to constantly learning and expanding her knowledge in both physcial and mental wellbeing is something I deeply admire."

"Tabitha came into my life while I was a ta very low ebb. I was struggling with my mental health a lot and was regularly self harming and had attempted suicide twice. I found her through yoga and never looked back. She was always there for me as a yoga teacher at first and then as a friend and mentor. She helped push me just enough out of my comfort zone to help me progress with my life and extend myself in ways I didn't feel were possible anymore. Her help was never patronising and wasn't that of a mental health professional- it felt caring and actually helpful. She is amazing at really LISTENING and hearing how your life is and how you feel. She understands how body and soul need to be taken care of and how to do small self improvements to work through issues rather than making a huge overwhelming change all at once. With her help I used her yoga classes, meditation and hypnotherapy sessions to help become a more outgoing confident person who wasn't so angry and scared of the world. I feel like she breathed new life into me and it wasn't scary or hard. It was just the little nudges I needed. "
